 Melvern Lake Outlet Area - Melvern, Kansas

Opening: Meeting was called to order by President Elmer Burnett at 6:00 p.m. The Minutes from the September meeting were approved.

Roll Call: By Donna Burnett with 15 families attending.

Guests: Sydney & Jackson Thomann - grandchildren of Russ & Mila

Denise & A.J. Lawson, Dave LaCore - friends of Bryson & Shannon

Chelsea Love - friend of Jim & Dawnda

Loretta Fox - mother of Rhonda

Treasurer Report: About $650.00 after a bill was presented.

Announcements: Bob Macha has an RV booth/table for sale.

Leonard reported that Mary Freeman is in Kansas Rehab Hospital and should be coming home.

Wilma Fader is now home - reported by her family.

Bernie Bower had an allergic reaction to medication, heart cath with 2 stents and is back home - reported by his family

Reported that former Topeks member Lee Culver had passed away from

heart complications. No Church on Sunday.
Birthdays and Anniversaries were recognized.

Wayne Christensen has his trailer for sale – 1999 Dutchman. Contact Wayne for more information.

News from Betty:

Genevieve Collins called me and said that she took Rex to the emergency room this morning.  He was admitted to St. Francis Hospital with pneumonia.  He will probably be there 3-4 days.  I am sure he would appreciate cards.  You can send them to their home:  623 NW Walnut Lane, Topeka, KS 66617.

A friend told me that Chuck Hoffmeister was in the hospital.  I called Donna tonight to check.  Donna told me that Chuck had a heart attack and was taken to the the hospital last Thursday, October 13 and came home yesterday, October 19.  He is doing better, but needs to stay in and take care.  I am sure he would appreciate your cards.  Send to his home:  219 SE 46th, Topeka, KS  66609.

New Business: The club thanked Dawnda for the great job she did planning the Halloween Activities. Thanks to Jim for making the popcorn and heating the Chili in his black kettle.

A motion was made and seconded to accept the nominations and the motion carried.

Chuck Hoffmeister had served as treasurer for a lot of years. The Cub thanked Chuck for his years of service.

Motion was made and approved to adjourn.
